Concept
PORTA blends urban biking culture with social experiences. By day, it’s a store for vintage road bikes, gear, wear and repair. By night, it transforms into a eatery serving roadside pizza, gelato, drinks and playing Italo disco.
In Italian, PORTA means “gateway”—a symbol of movement, transitions, and new possibilities, just like biking itself. Inspired by the golden age of Italian cycling, the spirit of aperitivo hour and the beats of Italo disco, PORTA is where the ride never truly ends—it just shifts gears.
The combination of materials reflect the duality of the space. Stainless steel reminiscent of the metallic precision of a bicycle frame and the functional durability of professional kitchens. Contrasts with pale wood and textured glass, adding warmth and depth. The futuristic feel reinforces a sense of progress, embracing the vision of what’s next.
Shifting gears by night—when the smell of pizza drifts onto the street, glasses clink by the roadside, and the pulse of Italo Disco sets the pace.
