Caramel Waffle
What
Waffles
- 400 ml all-purpose flour

100 ml sugar

1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp
- ground cardamom

400 ml milk
-
3 eggs
- 100 g melted butter
Salted caramel sauce
Topping
- 175 g light soft brown sugar
- 300 ml heavy cream
- 50 g butter
- ยฝ tsp salt
Topping
- Brown cheese
- Sour cream
- Blackberry
- Walnuts
How
- Salted caramel sauce
- Combine all the ingredients in a saucepan set over a low heat, and stir until the sugar has dissolved. Turn the heat up and bubble the sauce for 2-3 mins until golden and syrupy. Leave to cool for 10 mins.
- In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, sugar and cardamom. Add milk, a bit at the time, and mix until combined.
- Stir in the eggs and melted butter to the mix. Then let the batter rest for 0.5 hours before making the waffles in the waffle iron. If you think the batter is too thick, add some water or milk.
- Make the waffles in a waffle iron.
- Serve with brown cheese, sour cream, blackberry, choped walnuts and salted caramel saus.
